The short version
This site collects very little. We don't run advertising, we don't sell or share personal information for marketing, and we don't use tracking beyond basic, aggregate analytics. If you write to us, we keep your message so we can respond and follow up. That's the extent of it.
What we collect
- Contact details you send us. If you email hello@kindroot.tech or use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, anything you choose to include, and (from the form) your organization if you provide it.
- Basic site analytics. Aggregate, privacy-respecting measurements such as page views and approximate region, used only to understand whether the site is working. We do not build profiles of individual visitors.
- Standard server logs. Our hosting provider records technical request data (such as IP address and user agent) for security and reliability, retained briefly and reviewed only when something needs investigating.
What we do with it
We use your contact information to respond to you and, if a conversation continues, to carry on that conversation. We don't add you to a mailing list because you asked us a question, and we don't share your information with third parties except the service providers needed to operate (such as our email and hosting providers), or where the law requires it.
Retention
We keep correspondence for as long as it's useful to the working relationship, and delete it when it isn't. If you'd like your messages deleted sooner, ask and we'll do it.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@kindroot.tech and we'll handle it directly. No forms, no portal.
Client information
Information we encounter during security engagements is governed by the agreements for that engagement, which are considerably stricter than this page. Nothing about client environments is ever used for marketing or shared outside the engagement team.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update this page and the date at the top. We won't quietly weaken it.
